Taylor + Maggie | The Old Library

Taylor and Maggie said “I do” in the chapel on the campus of their alma mater, St. Bonaventure University, in Allegany, New York. But before that, Maggie got ready in her childhood home, which made me tear up like 47 times. How special is it to have your mom zipping up your dress in the bedroom you grew up in? Cue the tears again.

As you all know, I’m a huge fan of first looks, no matter who they’re with. Maggie had the cutest first look with her bridesmaids/brides-man and then the most amazing first look with her father on their front porch. (I really wish I would have packed some tissues for the one with her dad because oh my gosh.)

Once we arrived to the chapel and I saw Taylor, I immediately started giggling, his bow tie had his and Maggie’s heads printed on it, and he even got matching ones for his groomsmen! I have never in my life seen a more perfect bow tie, and when he told me that it was a surprise for Maggie, I knew that it was going to be the most epic reaction ever. Scroll down and see for yourself. ;)

Unfortunately, Maggie’s sister (her maid of honor) ended up getting sick right before the wedding day. But fortunately for everyone, they all found a way to include her in the wedding AND the reception! She dressed up in her bridesmaid’s dress on FaceTime and was walked down the aisle on an iPad by one of Maggie’s brides-men and had multiple angles set up so she could see everything, just as if she was there the whole time! (They also were able to set up the TVs at the reception so she could still give her maid of honor speech, which you can see further down this post!)

You know how they say that rain on your wedding day is a good luck charm? As soon as their receiving line started, so did the rain, but luckily right after their champagne pop, the clouds disappeared and we were able to take their bridal party and couple portraits around the St. Bonaventure campus! I have said it time and time again how beautiful the campus is for pictures, but what makes it even more special is that they have spent so much of their time right there. We were even able to get some cute poses on the brick wall where their first ever picture together was.

After portraits it was time to party! We all arrived at The Old Library in Olean, New York (which if you haven’t been there, what are you waiting for? Because it’s BEAUTIFUL) and got our party on. The bridal party had some hilarious introductions, we got an entire Bonas alumni group picture, and then came the formal dances and speeches from Maggies sister, both of Taylor’s best men, and then Maggie’s dad.

The whole day was so perfect, even with a missing bridesmaid and a little rain, the couple still ended their day as Mr. and Mrs. and made a lot of beautiful memories along the way. Taylor and Maggie, I am so thankful that you picked me to spend your special day with you and to capture all the beautiful memories. Congratulations again Mr & Mrs. R! <3
