End Of Life

This session is for your best friends who are very close to the end of their time on this Earth, before they cross the rainbow bridge. These sessions are reserved for those who are extremely terminal. I understand that this means the sessions can be very emotional and extremely urgent. I make sure to keep time available to be able to take any last minute EOL sessions, because I truly believe it’s important to have pictures with your best friend captured.

If you find yourself looking at this session, knowing it’s the right one for you, I just want to say, my heart is with you during this time and it’s 100% okay to feel the feelings you are having. Your pet is a part of your family and you love them. Whether they came into your life at 10 weeks old or at 10 years old, losing them hurts the same.

Why it matters

I’m not going to tell you that we will have the greatest time ever during your session. Because truthfully, I have never photographed an end of life session where we ALL didn’t shed some tears. THIS IS OKAY. These pictures aren’t meant to be images you want to share with the entire world (unless you want to, which is also okay). The point of these are to capture the love that you and your best friend have for one another. So whether that means you’re playing fetch in the backyard while they run slowly to the ball, or maybe you’re laying in your living room, cuddled with blankets with tears in your eyes, I’m there to help get some of the authentic moments with you, your loved ones, and your furry friend.

I can’t recommend Bre enough. I have worked with her on several occasions and continue to be impressed with her responsiveness, professionalism, the quality of her images, and especially her sensitivity. She doesn’t just know how to work with a camera; she has a deep understanding of people (and animals!) that allows her to become almost a therapist behind a lens and ensure that our sessions are as enjoyable as they are picturesque.

I asked her to come do an end-of-life session for a family member whose beloved dog was very, very sick. Not only was I blown away with the images, I was really amazed watching her work with our family and our dog, capturing priceless memories and also guiding us all through what was ultimately a really emotional session with a lot of grace and tenderness. It ended up being a really cathartic experience that we’ll all continue to look back on fondly.

You will not regret working with Bre, and you *definitely* won’t regret meeting her!”

BPP End Of Life

portraits

End Of Life Portraits have a $0 session fee. Most human owners end up investing between $300-$700 per session on their prints and products.

I am honored to be a photographer associated with The Tilly Project. The Tilly Project aims to connect pet owners with end-of-life pet photographers across the world, and to provide accessible, educational, and supportive resources for photography, anticipatory grief, and pet loss/bereavement.

Due to the unbearable cost of end-of-life, both financially and emotionally, I offer these with a $0 session fee.*

Although there will be an empty space left in your heart when your furry friend crosses the rainbow bridge, I hope that my images will be able to bring back good memories you had with them, until you are reunited at last.

*Please remember that these sessions are for those who are truly terminal; abusing the $0 session fee will only hurt others.

Prints, Digital Files, Albums, Wall Art, and Heirloom Products are available a la carte.
