Chris and Jill - East Aurora, NY Wedding

The last year has been weird, I’m sure I don't need to tell anyone that. Everything was being cancelled; sports, vacations, work, weddings, baby showers, bachelor(ette) parties, bridal showers, you name it. As someone who cancelled their own big wedding and all the fun stuff you’re supposed to have before it, I understood how bad each and every bride (or groom!) was feeling.

It was a dark couple of months, but then once summer hit and the restrictions started being lifted a little bit, many people decided to have smaller weddings, (or even eloping!) and as a wedding photographer, it caused so much joy to my life, feeling like things were slowly getting better. I was asked to associate photograph Chris and Jill’s wedding for another Buffalo photographer, (Becca Sutherland Photography) and I couldn’t have been more excited!

Chris and Jill were married in September at The Roycroft Inn, in East Aurora, New York. They had a beautiful small ceremony followed by a reception. Just because there were not hundreds of people, didn’t mean it didn’t feel like a “normal” wedding. I would argue that you could feel even more love in the smaller weddings; everything feels so intimate and it’s lovely. Due to the restrictions, dancing was not allowed at the reception but this didn't stop Jill and Chris from having fun! They had a jeopardy game based on their relationship and they had a table full of board games for their guests. I have never been to a wedding that was so original and thought out! You can definitely feel all the love that was there in their photos. Here’s a small taste of their beautiful day.
