Kara and Don’s Engagement

If you are looking at this blog and thinking “hmm, they look familiar” that is because they should! Kara and Don were part of a mentor portrait session that I did back in early 2021 with my mentor, Becca Sutherland. You can find that blog here : Kara and Don

They ended up booking me to photograph their wedding for 2022, but with their wedding collection came a complimentary engagement portrait session! They went back and forth on whether they wanted to do more pictures, (since we already knew we clicked well), but ultimately decided that you could never have too much practice or too many pictures. 

Kara originally wanted these pictures to be near the harbor since their first engagement pictures had a woodsy feel to them. She wanted to make sure that they felt different. We ended up deciding on Woodlawn Beach for their second round and I truly don’t think it could have been any more perfect! We practiced all the poses they knew they loved and even tried some new ones! But most of all, we bonded some more, talked all about their upcoming wedding, and made some fun memories together!

I absolutely cannot wait to capture every moment of their wedding day this October!
